The Royal Route
Rajasthan, India's largest state by area, is the legendary Land of Kings, renowned for magnificent forts, opulent palaces, vibrant cities and the sweeping sands of the Thar Desert. Once known as Rajputana, this royal land of maharajas and warrior dynasties is rich in history, culture and colour, with a heritage expressed through architecture, folk traditions and celebrated cuisine.
This journey takes guests through some of North India's most iconic destinations, including Amritsar, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur. It also ventures into Ranthambore National Park, one of India's most famous wildlife reserves, with safari experiences in search of the elusive Bengal tiger and other wildlife.
From the spiritual heart of Amritsar to the imperial grandeur of Delhi and Agra, onward into the wild landscapes of Ranthambore, through the royal cities of Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur, and ending back in New Delhi — this journey captures the essence of India's royal and cultural heritage.

Day 1
London to Amritsar via Delhi
Depart London for your overnight flight to Amritsar via Delhi.
Day 2
Delhi to Amritsar
On arrival in Delhi, guests are warmly welcomed by the Latitude9 team, who join them on the onward domestic flight to Amritsar. Once checked in, the rest of the day is free to relax after the journey or begin exploring at an easy pace before meeting for a welcome dinner.

Day 3
Amritsar
Visit the Golden Temple, the spiritual heart of Sikhism and one of India's most moving and beautiful sites. Its serene marble walkways and shimmering sacred pool offer a powerful contrast to the energy of the surrounding city. Afterwards, enjoy time to relax at the hotel, browse local markets or sample Amritsar's renowned street food. Later in the afternoon, travel to the Wagah Border to witness the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony — a dramatic daily display of pageantry and patriotism marking the frontier between India and Pakistan.

Day 4
Amritsar to Delhi
Explore historic Amritsar, winding through colourful bazaars and narrow lanes of the old town, including the atmospheric passageways of Qila Ahluwalia, once home to one of the city's most powerful Sikh clans. In the afternoon, fly to Delhi. On arrival, enjoy a panoramic city tour en route to the hotel, offering a first glimpse of India's dynamic capital.

Day 5
Delhi to Agra
Visit the Sikh temple Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, a beautiful white marble complex crowned with a golden dome. Then visit the Salaam Baalak Trust, a respected NGO supporting vulnerable and street-connected children in Delhi. Take a unique city walking tour led by former street children, offering an insightful perspective on life in the capital. After an included lunch, continue by road to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal. On arrival, check into the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 6
Agra
Rise early to witness sunrise over the Taj Mahal. This exquisite white marble mausoleum was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Return to the hotel for breakfast before visiting Agra Red Fort, a vast 16th-century fortress on the banks of the Yamuna River. After lunch at the hotel, the afternoon is at leisure, or guests may choose an optional tour of the Baby Taj Mahal. This evening, enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant.

Day 7
Agra to Ranthambore
Begin with a visit to one of Agra's renowned marble inlay workshops to see the art of Pietra Dura in action. This centuries-old technique, made famous by the Taj Mahal, involves the precise inlay of semi-precious stones into marble. Travel to Bharatpur for an included lunch before continuing by train to Ranthambore. On arrival, transfer to the hotel for a two-night stay. This evening, enjoy a talk from a resident naturalist introducing the wildlife and landscapes of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve.

Day 8
Ranthambore Safari
Rise early for the first safari into Ranthambore National Park, venturing into the reserve in search of elusive tigers, leopards, sloth bears and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast, with the remainder of the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, head out for a second safari, offering another opportunity to spot the park's wildlife in a different light. Return in time for afternoon tea, followed by dinner at the lodge.

Day 9
Ranthambore to Jaipur, the Pink City
Travel by coach to Jaipur, the legendary Pink City. Sightseeing begins at Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features vast stone instruments designed for naked-eye celestial observation. Stroll to the City Palace, a grand complex at the heart of Jaipur that still serves as the residence of the royal family. Check into the hotel for a two-night stay, with the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 10
Jaipur
Stop at the Palace of the Winds, Hawa Mahal, for photographs before heading to Amber Fort, the former capital of the Kachchawah Rajput rulers. Perched high on a hilltop, this UNESCO World Heritage palace-fort is a masterpiece of Rajput and Mughal architecture. In the afternoon, discover Jaipur's craftsmanship with visits to specialist workshops showcasing traditional rug weaving, block printing and fine textiles. Later, enjoy an evening rickshaw ride through the Pink City with the Pink Ladies, followed by dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 11
Jaipur to Jodhpur via Pushkar
Leave Jaipur and journey into the desert heart of Rajasthan, arriving in the sacred town of Pushkar, one of India's oldest pilgrimage destinations. Set beside its holy lake and surrounded by desert hills, Pushkar is known for spiritual atmosphere, colourful bazaars and temples, including the Brahma Temple. Continue to Jodhpur, Rajasthan's famous Blue City — renowned for its blue-painted houses, majestic forts, vibrant bazaars and Rajput heritage.

Day 12
Jodhpur
Visit Mehrangarh Fort, perched dramatically on a rocky outcrop above the city. Often called the Majestic Fort, it provides panoramic views over the blue and whitewashed houses below. The afternoon is at leisure. Optional possibilities may include a Bishnoi Village Safari, Umaid Bhawan Palace or wandering through Sardar Market.

Day 13
Jodhpur to Udaipur via Ranakpur
Depart for Udaipur, stopping en route at the Ranakpur Jain Temple. Set amid the Aravalli Hills, this 15th-century architectural masterpiece is celebrated for its white marble construction and dedication to Lord Adinath. The temple is renowned for its 1,444 uniquely carved pillars, intricate domes, halls and extraordinary carvings.

Day 14
Udaipur
Udaipur is the romantic City of Lakes, famed for white marble palaces, tranquil Lake Pichola and the Aravalli Hills. Enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour including the City Palace, Bagore Ki Haveli Museum and Jagdish Temple. Take a boat ride across Lake Pichola to Jagmandir Island Palace.

Day 15
Udaipur to Delhi
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before transferring to the airport for the flight back to Delhi, where guests stay overnight for one final night.
